Personally I did not use the favorite section often.

Tested with the current version of the Nik Collection 1.109. I tested the CEP4 favorites on Windows 8.1 with Photoshop CC (64+32bit versions) and on Mac 10.9 with Photoshop CS6 and Elements 11 and the Color Efex Pro 4 favorites are working for me. I think, the other issue is a bug in NIK itself. They will appear in the user defined menue similar to the favourites menue. Maybe as solution, I set-up very often customized pre-sets containing a few standard filters and save them as as user defined set. But if I click the star symbol in front of some imported filters/pre-sets (imported somewhen in the past), they appear in the favourite menue. I tried to do the same and got unfortunately the same result - if I click the star symbol in front of the regular NIK filters, they didn't appear in the favourites menue. Shouldn't the favourites list stay the same unless you remove a filter from favorites by clicking the star again? When I exit CEP4, either by "cancel' or "OK" then open CPE4 again, the favorites list is empty. I click the star and the filter then appears in favorites. Not sure, but how did your put the filter into your favourites - could you describe your approach, actually I'm can not follow up with your 'put' into. After I put a filter into favorites, it disappears from the favorites list when I press OK and use CEP4 the next time.
